The reporter, Joel Stein, booked a spa weekend with his mother and sister.<\/p>\n<p>To his surprise (horror?), his sister filled a <a title=\"spreadsheet with their spa activities\" href=\"http:\/\/www.time.com\/time\/magazine\/article\/0,9171,2002513,00.html\">spreadsheet with their spa activities<\/a>, so they&#8217;d know when to head to yoga, prepare for a massage, or pause for aromatherapy.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve only been to a spa once in my life, and Mr. Stein&#8217;s humorous account of his weekend confirmed my opinion that spreadsheets are more relaxing when they don&#8217;t involve Japanese adzuki-bean treatments.<\/p>\n<p>It was a fun read though, and interesting to see another way that spreadsheets can move from finance to fun.<\/p>\n<p>______________<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"font-size: 0px; height: 0px; line-height: 0px; margin: 0; padding: 0; clear: both;\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some of us find it relaxing to work on a spreadsheet, and look forward to spending the day neck deep in formulas.
