Here is a roundup of some of the day\u2019s special events and tweets.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Toronto Excel User Group<\/h3>\n<p>On Wednesday, October 14th, the Toronto Excel User Group (TEUG)\u00a0 had an online Spreadsheet Day celebration, focussed on the history of Excel. There were 3 renowned spreadsheet experts on the panel:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dan Fylstra<\/strong> \u2013 founder and President of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solver.com\/\">Frontline Systems Inc<\/a>. (Solver). Co-founded company that brought VisiCalc to market<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rob Collie<\/strong> is C.E.O. and Founder of <a href=\"https:\/\/powerpivotpro.com\/\">P3 (Power Pivot Pro)<\/a>. Led the BI-focused team within Microsoft Excel and later shaped Power Pivot v1.<\/li>\n<li><strong>David Monroy<\/strong> \u2013 Senior Program Manager on Excel team at Microsoft. Has worked on data types from Power BI, formula errors, file performance, and more.<\/li>\n<li>The panel discussion was interesting and informative, and if you missed the event, you can watch this challenge, was announced, and you have until November 2nd to submit your entry.<\/p>\n<p>The contest is part of the Day of Data \/ World Spreadsheet Day that was organized by Microsoft and NASA.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To get the challenge details, go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/techcommunity.microsoft.com\/t5\/excel-blog\/welcome-to-the-day-of-data-visualization-challenge\/ba-p\/1791401\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day of Data Visualization Challenge page<\/a>, on the Microsoft site.<\/li>\n<li>Download the space data set from that page<\/li>\n<li>Answer the questions that were written by Bill Jelen (Mr. Excel)<\/li>\n<li>Add your own \u201cwildcard\u201d analysis<\/li>\n<li>Submit your entry in <a href=\"https:\/\/techcommunity.microsoft.com\/t5\/day-of-data\/bd-p\/DayofData\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Day of Data discussion space<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Then, after you enter, or
