In the New York Times, J. D. Biersdorfer show how to get started, with examples for Excel, Google Sheets, and other spreadsheet software.<\/li>\n<li>And if one of your goals is to tackle your debt, <a title=\"download one of the Debt Reduction Spreadsheets\" href=\"http:\/\/www.squawkfox.com\/debt-reduction-spreadsheet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">download one of the Debt Reduction Spreadsheets<\/a> from the Squawkfox website. He explains which parts of his tracking system worked, and what didn&#8217;t go so well.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Lotus 1-2-3 Vs Excel<\/h3>\n<p>In this old article from The Register,\u00a0 Dave Mandl describes <a title=\"Excel beats Lotus 1-2-3\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theregister.co.uk\/2013\/01\/31\/when_lotus_met_excel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the moment when he realized<\/a> that Microsoft Excel would knock the market leader, Lotus 1-2-3, out of the spreadsheet market. What went wrong at Lotus, and why was Excel able to take over the spreadsheet software market?<\/p>\n<h3>Software Patents<\/h3>\n<p>I&#8217;m not a lawyer, and don&#8217;t have any idea what impact this decision will have, but apparently spreadsheet tabs are now patent-eligible.
