He described the diet in a <a title=\"Washington Post article\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2006\/01\/17\/AR2006011700264.html\">Washington Post article<\/a>, including a few <a title=\"recipes\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2006\/01\/17\/AR2006011700277_pf.html\">recipes<\/a>, and a list of the <a title=\"spreadsheet categories\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2006\/01\/17\/AR2006011700258_pf.html\">spreadsheet categories<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>How It Works<\/h3>\n<p>To get started, you&#8217;ll enter all the food categories in spreadsheet columns, then create meals by selecting one\u00a0 or more items from each column.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border: 0px;\" title=\"spreadsheetdiet\" src=\"http:\/\/spreadsheet-day.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/spreadsheetdiet.png\" alt=\"spreadsheetdiet\" width=\"338\" height=\"145\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Bruske describes how to use the categories:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Starting with whole grains in the vertical column of my version of a Kitchen Excel sheet, my eyes move across the horizontal axis and I pick up vegetables, nuts, vinegars and olive oil to complete my dish.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>For more information on <a title=\"how the Spreadsheet Diet works\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/discussion\/2007\/02\/28\/DI2007022801810.html\">how the Spreadsheet Diet works<\/a>, you can read the instructions from the Washington Post article (near the bottom of the linked page).<\/p>\n<h3>Would You Try It?<\/h3>\n<p>The Spreadsheet Diet is meat-free, and feta cheese is the only dairy product that I see listed. I&#8217;m sure it&#8217;s healthier than my normal diet, but it doesn&#8217;t look too appealing. It&#8217;s an interesting concept though, and maybe I can adapt it for my own use.<\/p>\n<p>How about you?
