Are you ready? Spreadsheet Day 2018 is almost here – Wednesday, October 17, 2018. What celebration plans do you have for this year?

Spreadsheet Day Beginnings

There is a “National Day of”  or “World Day of” for almost everything you can imagine. Way back in 2010, I realized there wasn’t a Spreadsheet Day, so I started one! You can read the details on the About page.

VisiCalc Release Date

October 17th was selected as the celebration day, because that was the date, in 1979, when VisiCalc was first released – the first spreadsheet for personal computers. Read more about VisiCalc in the Spreadsheet History section.
